Professional vocal ensemble, Dieci, are a dynamic and exciting group of young professional singers. They have performed throughout the country since 2004, and have been praised for their unique sound and vibrant performances.
The group performs a wide-ranging repertoire and can provide a varied and interesting programme from Renaissance Sacred music through to close harmony arrangements of popular classics. The variety and versatility of Dieci is due to the diverse range of solo and ensemble singing experience that each member contributes. Particular highlights in the group’s history include performing for James McAvoy, Billy Boyd and Lord Attenborough at the Royal Scottish Conservatoire’s Fellows Graduation, and two UK tours performing in venues such as Canterbury Cathedral, Portsmouth Cathedral and Hatfield House. Dieci have been successful in competitions, having been highly commended in the Governors’ Recital Prize for Chamber Music and short-listed for the Enterprise Music Scotland Residency Project. In December 2008, Dieci were Grand Finalists of the BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year competition, the largest and most prestigious competition of its kind in the UK, which was televised from the Royal Festival Hall, London. They received much acclaim for their varied vocal performances including excellent reviews for their choreography!
Dieci have an exciting and innovative education programme that is designed to inspire and engage, making singing and classical music a live and accessible experience for all. The interactive workshops cater for people of all ages and abilities and are led by members of Dieci who have a wealth of teaching experience between them.
